Making his home inside the abandoned Fallfest barn, Dreadbear is a relatively gentle giant as long as nothing startles him. He first came to life on a full-moon's night, when the groundskeeper accidentally disturbed the grave of a thought-to-be-failed experiment. Now he walks the earth, helping around the farm and fetching fuel to keep Grim running.
Smells like mud, cold, and wet death. With no need to breathe, Dreadbear can often be found lumbering at the bottom of the lake. He feels strangely drawn to it but never seems to find what he's looking for. This frequent submersion in combination with his natural state of decay leaves him constantlyfalling apart at the seams too.
As far as he can care about anything, Dreadbear cares about Grim and has a personal desire to help and protect him. Grim is big and mean, but he's Dreadbear's only friend.
Brings lost items out of the lake on occasion, which are brought to Grim for inspection. Some items end up being from the wrecked ship, which Grim adds to his collection. Other things Dread keeps for himself.
Dreadbear can speak, though he prefers to grumble and groan. It's very slurred, but Grim has lived with him long enough to grasp it and they have a common language.
Has hand-shaped burns on his body in the spots Grim touches most like on his shoulder, chest, side of his head etc. It doesn't hurt him that much but it looks bad without context.
Does the farm work when it’s rainy and brings Grim the driest fuel he can find.
Because he is not very smart and doesn’t have the best eyesight, Dreadbear assumes anything Foxy-shaped is Grim. As such, he would be very distressed at the sight of a normal Foxy because he would think it was Grim without any fuel and that he was dying.
