As the rough'n'tumble bassist, Monty does what he wants, when he wants, and exactly how he wants to do it. Monty's explosive attitude and determination make him a force to be reckoned with. Far from the sharpest knife in the drawer, but good at what he does. Monty is happy where he is, but never for long.
Monty and Freddy have a strange tension nobody else wants to touch. They're either moments from fighting or kissing and maybe both? Monty is generally fine, but he tends to brush Freddy off the most and seems to be the only one that can really get on his nerves. If Freddy suddenly vanished one day, Monty wouldn’t shed more than one tear over it.
Although short tempered, his tendancy to break things isn't purely out of anger. He simply struggles to self-regulate his emotional responsees, getting destructive in the face of any strong emotions- even positive ones.
Monty is most popular with middle schoolers, for some reason. The only downside to this is that as a demographic they aren't especially invested in minigolf.
Monty's initial shattering is identical to canon, with the exception that he still had his legs somewhat attached. Freddy tore them off later to make him less of a threat and to further hinder mobility.
Monty had a simpler design when Bonnie was the bassist, as he was regulated to a side attraction. A slight storyline was already being pushed out that Monty wanted to be a member of the band, so swapping him in was easy.
As an alligator, Monty is very vocal. Hearing a hiss or a rumble from him is not uncommon.
After an argument led to Bonnie being pushed off the catwalks, Monty had a choice. Bonnie was still alive. Monty could have called for the staff to come get him. Instead, he threw Bonnie's body into the waters of Gator Golf. The sunglasses were taken as a trophy, though he claims they help him grieve.
His room isn't destroyed, it's just redecorated to suit his tastes. Maybe he likes sleeping on a pile of torn up couch.
